Purpose:

Employee to provide effective sourcing services from India for both local domestic and global client needs for the IT category.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Proactively foster effective collaboration and ensure strong communication with key client stakeholders and colleagues in and across the region(s) to deliver defined business goals.
  2. Develop key client stakeholder matrix per category/location, maintaining regular engagement and driving high levels of client engagement and satisfaction.
  3. Ensure appropriate supplier relationship management for assigned suppliers.
  4. Act as key contact person for India and other global locations on allocated categories and sourcing initiatives.
  5. Perform spend and contract analysis to identify sourcing and cost reduction opportunities.
  6. Working with clients and colleagues, define and implement commodity strategies and sourcing area plans for global locations, while ensuring appropriate alignment to global and regional strategies.
  7. Lead and execute tactical and strategic sourcing projects in line with agreed timelines, process, compliance, and quality.
  8. Deliver allocated savings target as assigned to categories and locations through the effective management of sourcing initiatives, with proper tracking and reporting of savings achievements.
  9. In collaboration with Operations, drive adoption of P2P through sourcing initiative and ongoing contract management.
  10. Adhere to defined sourcing policies and processes.
  11. Ensure a high level of ethics in supplier and/or client engagements.

Requirements:

i) Qualification:

  1. University degree (ideally in economics or Supply Management and/or Legal) or industry experience equivalent.
  2. Strong oral and written English (mandatory).

ii) Experience:

  1. A minimum of 5 years' experience, ideally in an international environment.
  2. Excellent communication (written, verbal) and interpersonal skills to positively influence people to make the appropriate decisions for the client(s) and resolve conflicts effectively.
  3. Ability to work as part of a cross-functional team.
  4. Good competent in negotiations and contract knowledge with a strong ability to converse, negotiate with suppliers/clients and review contracts in English.
  5. Strong project management experience.
  6. Experienced in conducting tenders (RFI, RFP, RFQ).
  7. Commodity sourcing experience in one or more of the following categories is highly advantageous:
  • IT (Hardware, Software, Telecommunication, Data Centre)
  • Professional Services
  • Facility Management, Corporate Services, Real Estate
  • Marketing
  • HR (Recruitment, Benefits, Payroll, Training)
  • Outsourcing & Offshoring (ITO, BPO, KPO)
  • Travel (Airlines, Hotels, Serviced Apartments, Travel Management Companies)
  • Banking services (Market Data, Exchanges)
