We are seeking a highly skilled Data Architect to join our team at Virtusa. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and implementing data platforms using cloud-based services.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain data models, transformations, and SQL queries within the DBT framework to support reporting and analytics initiatives.
  • Implement best practices for data modeling, schema design, and version control within DBT, ensuring consistency and scalability across projects.
  • Optimize and troubleshoot ETL processes to improve performance, reliability, and data quality.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure and DevOps teams to deploy and monitor ETL pipelines in production environments.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience with various data platforms, data warehousing initiatives, including at least 2 implementation experiences with Airflow and DBT.
  • Thorough understanding and application of AWS services related to Cloud data platform, including AWS S3, AWS Glue, Amazon Redshift.
  • Able to translate technical specifications into working code.
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in ETL technologies, incorporating new tools and techniques as appropriate.
