Economic Research Analyst Job Description

Job Overview:

As an Economic Research Analyst, you will play a vital role in supporting the Manufacturing department in conducting research on economic issues. You will collect and analyze data using statistical techniques, present research results in reports, tables, and charts, and advise businesses, governments, and individuals on economic topics.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Research Agendas: Develop and implement research agendas that meet the needs of the department, with a focus on producing at least one detailed report within a year.
  2. Collaborations: Engage with ministries, universities, think tanks, and other agencies to work on research assignments, aiming to produce at least one co-authored report/publication with government/academia.
  3. Topic Identification: Work with various stakeholders to identify topics for research and develop agenda/initiatives for research projects.
  4. Discussion Points: Prepare discussion points/talking points for meetings and discussion forums, providing relevant content for effective delivery.
  5. Presentation Skills: Make presentations in various fora's and make crisp presentations during committee/council/government meetings.
  6. Issue Interpretation: Interpret issues/concerns raised by stakeholders and recommend solutions to those issues.

Qualifications:

Post Graduate in Economics from a leading university in India or abroad is required. Additionally, strong thought leadership, strategic thinking, excellent domain knowledge, conceptualization and consultative skills, and effective communication and presentation skills are essential for this role.
