About the Job:
- Lead the development and implementation of an Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) framework that aligns with Vandana Global Ltd.'s strategic objectives and promotes sustainable business practices.
- Foster healthy working relationships with stakeholders at all levels, advocating for the company's interests and ensuring the significance of ESG in the organization's strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Development:
- Identify key environmental, social, and governance issues and develop a comprehensive plan to address them, encompassing the organization's ESG strategy.
- Collaborate with teams to implement environmental improvement projects, ensuring the organization's readiness for various ESG-related certifications and the sustainability of developed systems and mechanisms through audits.
- Evaluate ESG risks and opportunities, integrating them into business planning and decision-making processes.
Environment:
- Oversee environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives, including waste management, energy efficiency, and emissions reduction, ensuring adherence to local, state, and central environmental regulations.
- Conduct environmental impact assessments and audits, collaborating with operations and engineering teams to implement environmental improvement projects.
Social:
- Drive community engagement and social investment programs that enhance the company's reputation and support local communities, promoting social responsibility and sustainability.
ESG:
- Develop and maintain ESG policies, procedures, and reporting frameworks, ensuring transparent and accurate ESG reporting, including sustainability reports and disclosures to stakeholders.
- Stay current with ESG regulations, standards, and industry best practices, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.
Stakeholder Management:
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including employees, investors, regulators, and community members, communicating the company's ESG performance and initiatives, and representing the company in industry groups, sustainability forums, and at public events.
- Perform and deliver additional tasks as requested by senior and top management, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives and promoting sustainable business practices.
Requirements and Skills:
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, sustainability, engineering, business administration, or a related field.
- Master's degree preferred.
Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in ESG, sustainability, or related roles, preferably within the steel or manufacturing sector, with strong knowledge of ESG frameworks, standards, and reporting methodologies.
- Leadership and strategic thinking, strong ethical standards and integrity, innovative and proactive mindset, ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, and strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.
- Certification in ESG or sustainability a plus, with a strong understanding of legal and regulatory compliances and documentation required for the continued production and other operations of the organization.
- Strong knowledge and experience of maintaining all relevant governmental, legal, and regulatory documentation and licenses for a steel manufacturing plant, proficient with MS Office and other essential office productivity tools.

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, exceptional stakeholder management & development skills, strong time and work management skills, and ability to lead workstreams independently and delegate as required.
