Job Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Compliance Specialist to join our team.

As a key member of our compliance function, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring adherence to laws and regulations.

Responsibilities include designing and executing testing programs to assess risk and validate internal controls.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Timely execution of fieldwork and testing of core responsibilities across all areas of law.
  • Strong and independent risk assessment skills to design overall testing programs and alignment stages.
  • Regular dialogue and communication on progress of work and potential findings to Manager Compliance Testing Team.
  • Lead conversations with senior stakeholders during kick-offs, testing, and issue alignment discussions with minimal managerial support.
  • Train and mentor colleagues in upskilling themselves with relevant knowledge and practices.
  • Work with Compliance leadership on strategic initiatives to improve delivery models and contribute to presentations to senior leadership.
  • Develop remediation plans to address findings and detect emerging regulatory risks or impending legislation.
Requirements:

Our ideal candidate possesses:

  • 6 years of relevant experience in internal audit, regulatory compliance within the Big Four or in a bank/financial institution with Anti-Money Laundering background.
  • Good academic qualification with experience in compliance or legal with Anti-Money Laundering knowledge.
  • Chartered Accounts, CPA, CIA, ACAMS, MBA, and individuals with certifications in audit would be preferred.
