Job Description

As a Head of Design, you will lead a team of experienced professionals in developing innovative designs that meet the needs of our customers. Your expertise should include minimum 20+ years of experience in mechanical/aeronautical engineering, with knowledge on different Airbus/Aero OEM programs, metallic and composite design, fuselage, wing, empennage, control surfaces, etc.

You must have overall technical knowledge on various ATA chapters, aerospace stress activities, and be knowledgeable on technical measures at each stage with metrics. Experience on aerospace-related tools is also required.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in mechanical/aeronautical engineering
  • 20+ years of experience in aerospace industry
  • Overall technical knowledge on different Airbus/Aero OEM programs
  • Metallic and composite design expertise
  • Familiarity with fuselage, wing, empennage, control surfaces, etc.
  • Knowledge on various ATA chapters
  • Aerospace stress activity knowledge
  • Technical measure knowledge at each stage with metrics
  • Experience on aerospace-related tools
Benefits

As a Head of Design, you will be responsible for ensuring signatory delegation process as per A1020/M1020 requirements. You will also review WPL recommendations/requests on DOA scope, independently qualify nominees before proposing them to HOE, and ensure deliverables of signatories meeting design requirements.

Additional responsibilities include independent technical reviews, ensuring applicable compliances, identifying and providing required trainings, close monitoring of effectiveness during mentoring phase, reviewing monthly data of all nominees/signatories as per audit/compliances requirements, and reporting to HOE during internal meetings, internal and external audits.

Others

Other preferable skills include good communication, presentation skills, project management, risk and mitigation, and problem-solving skills. If you have innovations/global paper publications, please highlight them.
