Looking for a skilled SQL Database Administrator to drive database management and support. Key responsibilities include monitoring log files, ensuring database availability, and reporting status of log replications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor generated log and event files indicating errors that will result in an incident
  • Database availability Monitoring
  • Log replication Monitoring
  • Report Status of Log Replications as per agreed schedules
  • Session/Query/Log/Latch monitoring
  • Purging database Logs and trace files
  • Periodic config review to maintain consistent configurations
  • Review and recommendation to maintain availability
  • Monthly report on database availability

The successful candidate will also be responsible for:

  • Tuning DB parameters
  • Correlating related incidents together into a problem ticket and managing through the problem management process
  • Using trend analysis to identify, detail, categorize, prioritize and create Problems Management Record
  • Restoration of database
  • Supporting L2 team for handling critical issues
  • Handling performance related issues
  • Handling major incidents and communicating with customers on production issue
  • Creating jobs/job schedule for routine/Maintenance jobs & Rebuilding of indexes
  • Purging database Logs and trace files & Performance Management
  • Defragmentation of Database and performance tuning

  • Database installation and troubleshooting (Must)
  • Always ON Cluster configuration and Management (Must)
  • Failover Cluster Management (Must)
  • patching and Failover cluster and Always ON (Must)
  • Replication and Link Server configuration (Must)
  • Database Patching and Hardening (Must)
