Job Title:

Principal Engineer, Signal Integrity

Responsibilities:
  • Discover and invent new techniques and methods in modeling, design, and measurement.
  • Lead a team in developing major new products, guiding and directing the activities of multifunctional teams according to engineering management priorities.
  • Perform high-speed empirical and analytical signal integrity evaluations of connectors.
  • Recommend changes in designs or technical procedures.
  • Conduct and coordinate analytical simulations for connector systems.
  • Provide development input to design teams, create electrical product models and documentation.
  • Analyze variation dependence and parametric optimization.
  • Work in a laboratory environment to validate design and correlate measurement with simulations using VNA, TDR, and Oscilloscope.
Requirements:
  • Education: BSEE, BS Physics, or BS Applied Math (Required).
  • Preferred: MS and PhD in above disciplines.
  • Work experience: 6 years design experience or 4 years with MS or higher (Required).
  • Preferred: 10 years design experience or 5 years with MS or higher.

  • Simulation tools (Ansys HFSS & Designer, CST, Agilent ADS & PLTS, Matlab)
  • Test and Measurement
  • Instrumentation (VNA, TDR)
  • Connector design and validation, channel modeling and correlation, standards committee participation, ability to mentor, technical papers published
  • Established records of invention such as patent ownership (Preferred)
  • Established records of technical paper authorship (Preferred)
