Overview

The Chief Information Security Officer plays a pivotal role in safeguarding an organization's information assets by overseeing and implementing the information security program. This involves leading efforts to maintain and improve the organization's ISO 27001 certification, ensuring GDPR compliance, managing risk assessments, and developing security policies and procedures.

This role requires strong leadership skills, as well as excellent communication abilities to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in information security, Computer Science, or a related field, along with professional certifications such as ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, CISSP, CISM, or CISA. A minimum of 5 years of experience in information security management or a related field is also essential.

Responsibilities
  • Leading the implementation and maintenance of the ISO 27001 ISMS.
  • Conducting regular internal audits to ensure compliance with ISO 27001 standards.
  • Coordinating external audits and managing the certification process.
  • Developing and updating information security policies, procedures, and documentation in line with ISO 27001 requirements.
  • Ensuring the organization complies with GDPR and other relevant data protection regulations.
  • Conducting DPIAs and managing DSARs.
  • Implementing and monitoring data protection policies and procedures.
  • Performing regular risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential security threats.
  • Developing and implementing risk treatment plans.
  • Monitoring and reviewing security incidents and breaches, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the information security program.
  • Overseeing the implementation and maintenance of security tools and technologies.
  • Developing and delivering information security awareness and training programs.
  • Coordinating with IT and other departments to ensure the secure implementation of new technologies and systems.
  • Developing and maintaining an incident response plan.
  • Leading the investigation and response to security incidents and breaches.
  • Conducting post-incident reviews and developing strategies to prevent future incidents.
