Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Senior Infrastructure Engineer.

This is a critical role that requires strong technical expertise and exceptional problem-solving skills. The successful candidate will play a key part in ensuring the availability, stability, and performance of our datacentres, platforms, and corporate systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure uptime SLA's are met every month by managing and resolving issues logs, performing scheduled maintenance, and managing third-party support contracts.
  • Monitor system performance, capacity, and growth, suggesting and implementing performance improvements and hardware/software refreshes.
  • Implement security projects, complete risk assessments, and build guides for new and existing systems while following existing policies and procedures.
  • Ensure regular backups are made and tested, participate in yearly BCP & DR tests, and document resilience and backup plans for all new builds.
  • Develop professional and technical knowledge and skills, provide technical advice and mentoring within the team, and implement new projects to meet project timelines and deadlines.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Strong technical expertise in infrastructure management, including server, storage, and networking technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Superior communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of security best practices and experience with implementing security projects.
  • Ability to develop and maintain documentation and processes.
