Job Title: Integrations Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled software integration engineer to join our team. As an integrations engineer, you will be responsible for designing and building seamless connections between different systems and platforms.

You will work closely with our development team to ensure that all integrations are reliable, efficient, and meet the highest standards of quality.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of automated testing, API development, and data management. They should also have experience working with message queues, pub-sub architectures, and distributed systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and build integrations with various Property Management Systems (PMS) and third-party platforms.
  • Develop and optimize our integration pipeline to ensure reliability and efficiency.
  • Understand the nuances of downstream systems and architect scalable integration solutions.
  • Engage with PMS partners to identify and implement new features and updates.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration-related issues to ensure system stability and performance.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in backend web development.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript and experience working with NestJS or similar backend frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Object-Oriented Programming and its various paradigms.
  • Strong understanding of automated testing at every level (unit, integration and end-to-end).
  • Strong understanding of API development, including RESTful APIs and SOAP XML.
  • Experience working with message queues and understanding of pub-sub architectures in distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with databases and ORM frameworks for efficient data management.
  • Proficiency with Git and development tools such as Visual Studio Code (or any preferred IDE).

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in frontend development using React or other similar frameworks.
  • Experience working in the hospitality tech industry or with PMS integrations.
