We are seeking motivated researchers with expertise in language model training for machine translation between Japanese, English, and Southeast Asian languages (Vietnamese, Indonesian, Malay, Thai, etc.). The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Python and its applications in Language Processing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct cutting-edge research and publish results in top AI conferences or journals
  • Collaborate with an international team using English as the main working language
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or relevant field
  • Hands-on experience in neural machine translation (NMT) and/or large language models (LLMs)
  • Strong experimentation capability (accountability, agility, problem-solving skills, etc.)
  • Passion about cutting-edge research
  • Smooth English communication
Preferred Skills
  • Japanese language and/or one of Southeast Asian languages is preferred
  • Knowledge and prior project experience in reinforcement learning is preferred
  • Papers in top-tier conferences like ICML, NeurIPS, AAAI, ACL, NAACL OR EMNLP etc.
