**System Engineer Role Overview**

  • As a key member of our LTE Customer Engineering team, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting modem software protocols and features in the LTE area.
  • Key responsibilities include system-level feature understanding with specialized knowledge in LTE Access Stratum protocol, issue log analysis, troubleshooting/analyzing problems, and supporting customers with product commercialization.
  • The role involves working closely with a multi-discipline team to integrate and commercialize QCT products.

Job Description:

  • Our ideal candidate has 2-6 years of excellent experience in one or more of the following areas: Strong understanding of RRC, RLC/MAC, Physical layers, and Call Processing concepts in one or more of the following air interface standards - LTE/LTE-A, NTN, LTE-Cat M, LTE-NB. Hands-on experience in analyzing and debugging device-side logs is desired.
  • A solid understanding of digital communications systems, RF propagation, CDMA, OFDM, telecommunications concepts is required.
  • Strong programming skills in C language, embedded SW development, Perl, shell scripting, etc are desired.
  • Exposure to mobile product commercialization is a plus.
  • The successful candidate must have strong communication skills, be an effective team player, and able to work independently.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
  • Masters degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
  • PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
  • 1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
  • 1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with debugging techniques.
