Electrical Engineer

Responsible for engineering design and modification activities related to electrical circuits, systems, and equipment.

The discipline of electrical engineering deals with electricity, electro-magnetism, and electronics. It also covers power systems, control systems, telecommunications, and signal processing.

An electrical engineer focuses on designing, maintaining, and improving products that are powered by or produce electricity.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Senior technical resource may serve as a technical advisor for team members.
  • Provides specialized technical input to studies and designs for staff's specific area of expertise.
  • Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high-quality, cost-effective work by others.
  • Participates in interdisciplinary reviews of project deliverables.
  • Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
  • Uses expertise in all steps of completing the discipline component of PS&E packages.
  • Performs quality control reviews of design calculations or drawings.
  • Prepares technical specification sections.
  • Provides input to the development of engineering budgets and schedules to meet requirements.

Requirements:

  • Master of Engineering degree (or equivalent education) in an appropriate engineering discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng), or Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent in the relevant field from any global organization.
  • 10-15 Years of experience (exposure to outside India projects preferably UK, USA, Canada & ANZ region)
  • Experience in preparation, review, and production of Electrical (EHV, HV, MV, LV), Street Lighting, Telecom, ELV, ICT Network, Pump station, Water Treatment Plant, EV charging Station, Substation, Power Transmission & Distribution network.
  • Design Calculation: Street lighting, High Mast Area Lighting, Cable sizing & Voltage drop, Earthing, Fault level, Corridor sizing.
  • Software: Dialux, AGI, Lighting Reality, Amtech, ETAP.
  • Ability to lead technical design teams of engineers and designers for urban infrastructure projects (preferably for Middle East region).
  • Familiarity with Middle East Codes and Standards is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Revit is an added advantage.
  • Strong communication skills in English are desired.
