About the Role:

Arcadis is seeking a highly skilled Senior Instrumentation and Control Engineer to join our team in the US region. As a key member of our Water and Wastewater team, you will be responsible for managing projects and leading a team of engineers to deliver high-quality designs and solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects and lead a team of engineers to deliver high-quality designs and solutions.
  • Prepare technical documentation for instrumentation and systems requisitions and perform technical evaluations.
  • Review and prepare process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, and instrument index.
  • Review and prepare instrument datasheets, instrument inter-connection schedules, and loop wiring diagrams.
  • Lead a team on various projects and provide design input to CAD/BIM and coordinate with BIM/CAD staff for preparation of drawings.
  • Design and manage knowledge with the use of BIM, Revit, Plant 3D, and instrumentation design software.
  • Manage the production and verification of analysis and design, including drawings and reports, asset management relating to projects.
  • Prepare control schematics and block logic diagrams for PLC and network architecture drawings.
  • Take responsibility for quality assurance and client feedback and ensure effective communication of any changes or modifications.
  • Proactively engage with various Arcadis regional offices and teams regarding safe design requirements and flag risks at appropriate levels.
  • Develop technical methodologies that add value to the scope from other Arcadis regions and guide junior colleagues in delivering quality documents and drawings.
  • Review and ensure compliance in the components of the project for which responsible, including drawings, reports, specifications, and studies.
  • Review work and drive the culture of checking and accountability in the team, including interdisciplinary checks.
  • Work in collaboration with other design disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design.
  • Provide technical advice to project team members.
  • Handle multiple management responsibilities, overseeing the work and/or development of multiple colleagues working on complex projects in a single discipline.
  • Design health and safety management for the project works.

Requirements:

  • B.E/B.Tech in Instrumentation and Control Engineering from a recognized university. Post-graduation will be an added advantage.
  • 8-12 years of relevant experience in design of instrumentation and control systems associated with the Water and Wastewater industry.
  • Registered or accredited professional with professional institutions will be a plus.
  • Familiar with American standards, BS codes, ISA, IEC, NEMA, and UL standards.
  • Sound technical knowledge, academically good.
  • Strong command of AutoCAD/BIM/digital/data analytics software as applicable.
  • Proven design experience, including concept, preliminary, detailed, and construction phases.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Work experience in North America will be an added advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, with good influencing, motivating, and delegation skills.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Experience of delivering designs and reports at all stages from concept through to final project and construction delivery.
