Memory Layout Engineer

As a skilled Memory Layout Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and optimizing memory layouts to meet the requirements of high-performance and low-power applications.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of layout design principles, including floor-planning, placement, matching, routing, parasitics, and layout constraints. You will also be proficient in physical verification checks, such as DRC, LVS, ERC, EM, and IR.

Additionally, you will need to have experience with scripting languages like SKILL, Python, or TCL, and a good understanding of advanced process nodes 5nm and below. A background in custom-based memories or compiler-based memories is preferred.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in memory layout design, with exposure to high-performance and/or low-power memory layout optimization techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and optimize memory layouts to meet performance and power requirements
  • Collaborate with circuit designers to understand schematics and translate them into optimized layouts
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of layout design tools and technologies
  • Ensure designs meet all required specifications and standards

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in memory layout design
  • Strong understanding of layout design principles and physical verification checks
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like SKILL, Python, or TCL
  • Experience with advanced process nodes 5nm and below

Preferred Skills:

  • Background in custom-based memories or compiler-based memories
  • Exposure to high-performance and/or low-power memory layout optimization techniques
