Reporting Analyst Job Description

The Reporting Analyst plays a vital role in transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive operational efficiency and business strategy. This position ensures accurate, timely reporting and provides analysis that informs decision-making within the contact center.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and deliver regular performance reports (daily, weekly, monthly) and ad-hoc analysis to stakeholders.
  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards using tools like Power BI or Tableau to visualize data insights.
  • Present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring effective communication of complex data concepts.
  • Maintain data integrity by extracting, cleaning, and validating data from multiple systems.
  • Support workforce management with forecasting and trend analysis to optimize resource allocation.
  • Recommend and track process improvements based on data-driven insights.
  • Ensure compliance with data security, governance, and confidentiality standards throughout all aspects of the role.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in data analysis and reporting within a contact center or similar environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and macros.
  • Strong knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI)/reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Google Data Studio.
  • Solid understanding of Structured Query Language (SQL) and ability to query databases effectively.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and time management.
  • Effective communication and data storytelling abilities to engage various audiences.
