Academic Leader - School of Engineering

IILM University is seeking an accomplished academic leader to join our team as Director – School of Engineering. As a visionary leader, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of engineering education in India.

Key Focus Areas
  • Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning: Develop innovative AI and ML programs to prepare graduates for the challenges of tomorrow.
  • Robotics & Automation: Establish strong industry linkages with leading technology and engineering companies to drive research and innovation.
  • Electronics & Communication Engineering: Build programs that align with Industry 4.0 and emerging global trends.
  • Mechanical Engineering with a sustainability lens: Foster a culture of sustainability in engineering education and research.
  • Bio technology & Bio information: Drive research and innovation in bio-technology and bio-information.
Responsibilities
  • Provide Academic and Strategic Leadership: Lead the School of Engineering towards excellence in academic and research endeavors.
  • Build Strong Industry Linkages: Establish partnerships with leading technology and engineering companies to drive research and innovation.
  • Curriculum Innovation: Develop curriculum that aligns with Industry 4.0 and emerging global trends.
  • Vibrant Research Ecosystem: Establish a research ecosystem that fosters innovation and entrepreneurship.
  • Student Success: Ensure student success through internships, placements, and entrepreneurial opportunities.
  • Excellence in Accreditation: Drive excellence in NAAC, NBA, and international accreditation processes.

We are looking for a visionary leader with 15+ years' experience in academia, research, or R&D leadership. A PhD in Engineering (preferred) or equivalent senior professional expertise is required. The ideal candidate should have proven ability to build programs, strengthen industry-academia partnerships, and deliver impact. Passionate about shaping the future of engineering education in India.

Required Qualifications:

  • A PhD in Engineering or equivalent senior professional expertise.
  • 15+ years' experience in academia, research, or R&D leadership.
