Job Title: Lead Finance Strategist

Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly experienced Lead Finance Strategist to lead the development of financial strategies that align with our company's goals. The successful candidate will have a strong background in finance, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to provide actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities:


  2. Create and manage the company's annual budget, ensuring accuracy and alignment with strategic objectives.
  3. Monitor financial performance by tracking key metrics and providing regular reports to the leadership team.
  4. Prepare detailed financial reports, forecasts, and performance analyses on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  5. Provide insights on financial results, identify risks, and recommend corrective actions to improve financial outcomes.
  6. Lead variance analysis (budget vs actual) and communicate findings to stakeholders.
  7. Manage cash flow to ensure the company's liquidity and financial stability.
  8. Oversee expenses, including cost control initiatives, and ensure spending is in line with the budget.
  9. Identify areas for operational efficiency and cost reduction.
  10. Ensure accurate and timely accounting records, including overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
  11. Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax obligations.
  12. Lead audits (internal/external) and ensure the company's financial practices align with legal and regulatory requirements.
  13. Lead and mentor the finance team, providing guidance and professional development.
  14. Collaborate with various departments to align financial goals with business operations.
  15. Work closely with the CEO to support business growth, fundraising efforts, and investment decisions.
  16. Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  17. Ensure the company has robust financial controls in place to protect assets and prevent fraud.
  18. Monitor changes in financial regulations and ensure the company adapts accordingly.
  19. Oversee tax planning and ensure all tax filings are completed accurately and on time.
  20. Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions to optimize treasury functions and financing needs.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or relevant certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) preferred.
  • 45 years of experience in finance, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and tax laws.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally etc.) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong leadership abilities, with experience managing and mentoring a finance team.
  • High attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.


Preferred Skills:


  • Experience in Ecommerce, understanding its financial and operational drivers.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and financial modeling.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to nonfinancial stakeholders.
