Senior Ruby on Rails Developer

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Rubyist to join our team. This individual will be responsible for developing, maintaining and improving web applications using Ruby on Rails.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop and maintain scalable, high-performance web applications using Ruby on Rails.
  • Enhance legacy systems with a focus on reliability, performance and maintainability.
  • Write clean, modular and well-documented code following best practices.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
  • Collaborate asynchronously with cross-functional teams; contribute to technical documentation.
  • Design and optimize PostgreSQL databases with a focus on performance and data integrity.
  • Utilize AWS services and Kubernetes for deployment, monitoring and infrastructure management.
Required Qualifications:
  • 9+ years of professional software development experience with Ruby on Rails.
  • Strong debugging skills and experience working with legacy systems.
  • Proficiency in PostgreSQL and relational database design.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes.
  • Proven ability to write high-quality unit and integration tests.
  • Comfortable working independently and asynchronously in a remote team setting.
