Backend Developer

We are seeking skilled professionals to design, develop, and maintain the backend systems of our platform.

About the Role:

  • Design and develop robust backend systems and APIs using Node.js, leveraging its asynchronous nature to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate frontend and backend components, ensuring a cohesive user experience.
  • Implement scalable data storage solutions using databases like MySQL and MongoDB, optimizing schema and queries for efficiency and performance.
  • Architect and implement event-driven architectures using message brokers like Kafka and SQS, enabling real-time processing of events and asynchronous communication between microservices.
  • Ensure the security of backend systems and APIs by implementing best practices, such as input validation, authentication, and encryption, to protect sensitive user data and prevent unauthorized access.
  • Write clean code following industry best practices and document technical specifications to facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and innovation within the team.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Node.js and other server-side technologies, microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and databases like MySQL and MongoDB.
  • Familiarity with distributed systems, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS), version control systems (e.g., Git), and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience working with event-driven architecture and message brokers like Kafka and SQS, preferably in the context of real-time applications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  • Prior experience in the ecommerce industry is highly valued.
