C Developer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced C developer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing Linux-based POS applications for V72 terminals.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and Develop POS Applications: Create robust POS applications in C for V72 Linux-based terminals, focusing on performance, security, and reliability.
  2. Interface with Hardware Peripherals: Develop and maintain C-based applications that interact closely with POS hardware peripherals, including printers, EMV card readers, NFC modules, barcode scanners, touchscreens, etc.
  3. System-Level Development: Work with system-level APIs, inter-process communication (IPC), multi-threading, and memory management to optimize application performance and minimize resource usage on embedded hardware.
  4. Transaction Flow Logic and UI Rendering: Develop transaction flow logic, UI rendering, and integrate payment processing features, ensuring compliance with industry standards (e.g., PCI DSS, EMV) and adherence to security best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong Proficiency in C Programming: Solid understanding of Linux internals, experience with POS application development, and V72 or similar embedded terminals.
  • NFC, EMV, and Transaction Technologies: Knowledge of NFC, EMV, and related transaction technologies, as well as experience with IPC mechanisms and multi-threaded programming.
  • Linux Debugging Tools and Database Management: Skilled in using Linux debugging tools (GDB, Valgrind, Strace, etc.) and familiar with SQL or NoSQL databases for application-level data storage.
  • Makefiles, CMake, and Version Control Systems: Hands-on experience with Makefiles, CMake, and version control systems like Git or SVN.

Preferred Experience:

  • Development Experience with VX/V72 POS Terminals: Previous work in retail, payment, or transaction-processing environments, as well as a background in embedded systems, device driver interactions, or hardware integration.
