Senior PHP Developer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior PHP Developer to join our senior management team at Datacore Systems. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a University Management Application project, where you will contribute directly to the development and enhancement of a robust system used by educational institutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain the backend architecture using PHP, Laravel, and MySQL.
  • Contribute to high-level decision-making as part of the senior management team.
  • Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
  • Troubleshoot, test, and maintain the core product software to ensure strong functionality and optimization.
  • Participate in the design and development of scalable architecture for future system enhancements.
  • Engage in Agile project management practices, including sprint planning and stand-up meetings.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of requirements and progress.
  • Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing best practices and performing code reviews.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a PHP Developer with expertise in Laravel framework.
  • Strong proficiency in MySQL and database design/management.
  • Solid understanding of MVC architecture and RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience reporting to senior management.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
  • Experience with University Management Systems or similar large-scale applications is highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in an educational or administrative software project.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Understanding of cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, Azure) and deployment tools.
  • Experience with testing tools like PHPUnit and familiarity with CI/CD processes.
Work Model:

This is a full-time position with a hybrid work model, offering flexibility to work both in-office and remotely. Candidates must be flexible to adapt to project demands and management schedules.
