Financial Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to support our finance operations as a Financial Operations Specialist.

The role involves daily income audits, cashiering duties, and accounting responsibilities, ensuring accurate financial records and adherence to established policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and circulate daily sales reports among department heads and owners.
  • Run day-end transactions and generate necessary reports by departments/outlets.
  • Audit all revenue transactions for accuracy, ensuring compliance with standards.
  • Prepare and issue management reports as required.
  • Reconcile credit cards daily and post to the system.
  • Ensure proper backup and authorization for rebates and discounts.

Cashiering Duties:

  • Collect and count cashier envelopes daily with a witness.
  • Record all amounts received in the General Cashier Daily Report.
  • Manage and reconcile petty cash, disburse cash after verifying requests, and maintain a register of petty cash advances.
  • Supervise outlet cashiering staff to ensure effective operations.
  • Maintain optimal cash floats.

Accounting Responsibilities:

  • Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations and assist with financial reporting.
  • Support the chief accountant with annual and interim audits.
  • Maintain proper filing and adhere to record retention policies.
  • Assist the finance team with general accounting duties and financial documentation.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of related experience in a similar role or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:

  • Proficient in English (written and spoken).

Physical Demands:

  • Frequent sitting, use of hands, and occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Occasional standing, walking, and performing tasks that require physical exertion.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and property management systems.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to assess financial information.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.
