Job Title: Data Engineering Leader

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineering Leader to spearhead our data engineering efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer science, excellent technical skills, and proven leadership abilities.

About the Role:

This is a critical position that requires a seasoned professional with expertise in designing, building, and maintaining robust data pipelines and platforms. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of data engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement, and driving engineering efforts to deliver high-quality healthcare solutions.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of data engineers to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and storage solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data initiatives with business goals.
  • Ensure timely delivery of projects within scope and budget.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and incorporate best practices.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A degree in computer science or related field from a reputable institution.
  • 8-10+ years' experience in fast-paced IT product companies, with a proven growth journey from developer to lead role.
  • Excellent technical skills, including proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, or Flink.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and related services.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data modeling.
  • Knowledge of database systems (SQL and NoSQL).
