Job Description

As a seasoned data engineer, you will be responsible for leading the modernization of clients' data infrastructures, architecture, and pipelines.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in cloud-first strategies, process and technical leadership, and championing Data Engineering initiatives. They will also possess experience in designing, developing, deploying, and supporting end-to-end data strategies.

In this role, you will work closely with clients to understand their business needs and provide expert guidance on leveraging data engineering solutions to drive growth and innovation.

Key responsibilities will include consulting clients on data initiatives, providing thought leadership, mentoring client teams, and ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Microsoft Certified Azure Data Engineer Associate or Fabric Data Engineer Associate
  • Experience in consulting or contracting capacity in large data management and modernization programs
  • Expertise in SQL Servers, data engineering on platforms like Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake, and Synapse
  • Strong knowledge of Delta Lake and Lakehouse Architecture
  • Knowledge of securing Azure environment, such as RBAC, Key Vault, and Azure Security Center
  • Extensive experience using Kafka and Spark in production environments
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of Scala or Python
  • Knowledge of Linux administration and networking
  • Scripting skills and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience
  • Understanding of security and corporate governance issues related to cloud-first data architecture
