Sr. DevOps Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Sr. DevOps Engineer to lead high-impact migration projects modernizing our legacy platforms. The primary focus will be migrating legacy UI to microservices, hosting UI pages on cloud infrastructure, and driving code refactoring, upgrades, security, and resilience improvements.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement highly available, resilient, and secure production systems on cloud infrastructure.
  • Migrate legacy UI systems to our new microservice architecture.
  • Upgrade legacy applications to ensure high-quality and secure code.
  • Test, document, and quality-proof work to ensure software meets business and operational needs.
  • Maintain CI/CD pipelines to optimize deployment processes.
  • Troubleshoot issues to identify root cause and appropriate resolution.
  • Support production deployments, operations, and maintenance activities.
  • Monitor metrics and identify ways to improve logging, reporting, and alerting.
  • Follow agile principles and participate in Scrum ceremonies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • Excellent knowledge of Java, Spring/Springboot, and related frameworks.
  • Experience with JavaScript, including old frameworks like Backbone.js/Marionette.js, and JQuery.
  • CI/CD practices, build, and deployment technologies (e.g., Maven, Jenkins, Docker).
  • Experience working with REST APIs.
  • AWS Cloud infrastructure experience (e.g., EC2, RDS, S3, Elastic Search).
  • Understanding of security concepts and vulnerability management.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
