Senior Systems Engineer - Collaboration Platforms

This is a long-term contract position with a global technology leader. We are seeking an experienced collaboration systems engineer to join our team.

In this role, you will be responsible for automating business processes and managing ongoing feature changes in collaboration applications. Solid technical expertise and the ability to collaborate with multiple teams are essential.

You will oversee the administration and integration of our collaboration platforms, working with internal and external partners across various organizations. Establishing strong relationships with users to ensure efficient, secure, and practical solutions that deliver engaging productivity experiences is crucial.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in technology support.
  • At least 5 years of experience in administration and implementation of collaboration tools.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft suite administration and collaboration security frameworks including Exchange Online and Teams.
  • Experience in using technologies such as PowerShell, PowerBI, APIs, WebServices, Python, C++, JavaScript, and Power Platform to build and deploy services.
  • Foster a collaborative atmosphere and exhibit optimism in challenging situations.
  • Decompose complex problems into manageable components and offer succinct solutions.
  • Experience in building efficiency workflows to deliver desirable outcomes.
  • Successful track record in working on multi-functional team projects.
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and optimize collaboration systems, including preventive and corrective maintenance, capacity planning, and scalability.
  • Record and manage changes, configurations, incidents, problems, and processes.
  • Ensure system security, implement standards, and respond to failures or performance issues.
  • Produce performance, capacity, availability, and security reports for senior management.
  • Write technical documentation and collaborate on ongoing issues and projects.
  • Manage vendor relationships and oversee outsourced services.
  • Install, configure, integrate, and test new system components and applications.
  • Maintain automation scripts and enhance functionality.
  • Follow industry best practices and quality assurance standards.
  • Perform maintenance or upgrades with minimal business impact, including on-call duty.
  • Analyze systems and participate in design and engineering projects.
