Job Title: Environmental Compliance Officer

This role requires a strong understanding of safety protocols, environmental laws, and risk assessments.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety of employees, contractors, and the general public while working on solar panel installation and maintenance sites.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our organization as an Environmental Compliance Officer.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Safety Compliance: Monitor and enforce adherence to safety protocols, PPE usage, and regulatory standards during solar panel installation and maintenance.
  • Environmental Oversight: Ensure compliance with environmental laws regarding waste disposal, emissions, and water usage on solar sites.
  • Risk Assessments & Audits: Conduct regular inspections, hazard identification, and safety audits. Recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks.
  • Training & Toolbox Talks: Organize daily pre-job briefings, safety inductions, and awareness programs for workers and subcontractors.
  • Incident Management: Investigate accidents and near misses, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Maintain emergency response plans and conduct drills for fire, electrical hazards, and medical emergencies.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain records of inspections, incidents, and safety equipment. Submit reports to project managers and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering, Environmental Science, or Occupational Health & Safety.
  • Certifications: Valid certifications: NEBOSH, OSHA, Fire Safety, First Aid.
  • Experience: 4–7 years of experience in solar, construction, or energy sectors.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of JSA (Job Safety Analysis) and CAPA (Corrective Action Plans).
