Senior Tax Professional

Title: US Tax – Senior Associate-(1065/1120)

The primary role of a Senior Executive is to review the work prepared by associates and advanced associates on moderate to complex tax returns. This involves fostering a collaborative relationship with associates and managers.

Responsibilities:

  • Display a good level of understanding of moderate and advanced tax concepts on partnership and corporate tax returns, and continuously enhance tax knowledge through client work and staying up to date with tax developments.
  • Ensure exceptional quality and timely delivery of tasks assigned to their team.
  • Train and mentor associates and advanced associates in the preparation of tax returns.
  • Assist the team in tax research to develop a deep understanding of tax theory and principles and apply them appropriately on partnership and corporate tax returns to fulfill client requirements.
  • Enhance teamwork and have the ability to communicate with teams in India and in the US.
  • Provide assistance to managers on projects, as requested.
  • Demonstrate independent judgment and decision-making capabilities when preparing tax returns.
  • Foster a supportive and collaborative team environment.

Required Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills and coaching/mentoring abilities.
  • Worked on US business tax returns (1065/1120) with complex situations and worked on special allocations, M3 adjustments like prepaid expenses and accruals, provisioning and estimate calculations.
  • Good knowledge of moderate and complex tax concepts, including forms like 8865, 5471, 5472 and 1116, consolidated corporate tax returns and combined state returns.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-6 years of experience in US Corporate taxation (1065/1120)
