About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Product Data Specialist to join our Global Catalog Operations team at Amazon. As a Product Data Specialist, you will be responsible for auditing and correcting data in our retail catalog. The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong analytical and communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities

This role requires the employee to work from Amazon's corporate office location in person. Your core responsibilities will include:

  • FOLLOWING PRE-DEFINED PROCESSES, GUIDELINES, AND SOPs TO PERFORM AUDIT TASKS WITH HIGH LEVELS OF ACCURACY AND PRODUCTIVITY;
  • REPORTING AUDIT RESULTS AND COMMUNICATING THEM TO OTHERS WITHIN THE ORGANIZATION;
  • APPROVING OR DISAPPROVING AUDIT ENTRIES BASED ON PRE-DEFINED GUIDELINES AND EXPLAINING LOGICAL REASONING BEHIND APPROVE/REJECT DECISION;
  • REVIEWING AUTHORITATIVE SOURCES TO VALIDATE CATALOG DATA WHEN NEEDED; BROWSING THE SITE AND USING SEARCH BOX TO LOOK FOR PRODUCTS;
  • REVIEWING AMAZON CATALOG FOR CONTENT QUALITY BASED ON PRE-DEFINED GUIDELINES AND SOPs;
  • THOROUGHLY CHECKING PRODUCT DETAILS TO ENSURE ACCURACY AND COMPLETENESS OF THE DATA;
  • ANALYZING DATA AND IDENTIFYING NEW TRENDS/PATTERNS;
  • IDENTIFYING GENERIC PATTERNS IN BROWSE AND AUDIT TO BE TRANSLATED INTO GUIDELINES AND SOPs TO IMPROVE OVERALL AUDIT OUTCOME;
  • PROVIDING FEEDBACK TO STREAMLINE EXISTING PROCESSES TO HELP THE TEAM ACHIEVE MORE CONSISTENT RESULTS WITH HIGH QUALITY;
  • WORKING WITH PROJECT TEAMS TO WRITE AND TEST NEW SOPs FOR NEW AUDIT AND DATA QUALITY MANAGEMENT TASKS;

A Day in the Life

In addition to the above responsibilities, the candidate must be flexible to meet business requirements and work with high-priority visibility English content for all English countries. They should also be competent to independently communicate both written and spoken with stakeholders and clients when required.

Basic Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A bachelor's degree;
  • The ability to speak, write, and read fluently in English;
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience with Excel at an advanced level is preferred but not required.
