We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced radiology medical coder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in coding compliance, with experience working with ACR, CMS, and payer guidelines.
The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing radiology reports to assign accurate diagnosis and procedure codes, ensuring that all coding is compliant with regulatory requirements. They will also work closely with radiologists, billing staff, and auditors to resolve coding discrepancies and ensure the accuracy of coding data.
In this role, you will be expected to stay up-to-date with coding guidelines, NCCI edits, and regulatory changes, as well as meet daily productivity and accuracy benchmarks. You will also assist in internal and external audits as needed.
To succeed in this position, you must have a certified professional coder (CPC) certification and at least 1-2 years of hands-on experience in radiology coding. You should also have in-depth knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS Level II codes, as well as familiarity with payer-specific rules and LCD/NCD policies.
