Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Strategist to join our team in Bangalore- Peenya, India. As a key member of our Drive Products division, you will be responsible for developing and implementing category strategies for Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) categories. Your expertise will enable us to secure cost-effective and reliable supplies while ensuring business continuity and mitigating risks associated with supply chain disruptions.
The successful candidate will have 5 years of experience in direct material purchase and success in sourcing and category management. Strong negotiation and contract management skills, along with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, are essential for this role. Proficiency in procurement tools and systems, Excel, Power BI, and other Microsoft tools is also required.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement EMS category strategies aligned with global category strategies
* Enhance supply chain resilience by developing regional supply chain footprints and ensuring business continuity
* Manage and develop relationships with EMS suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness, availability, and reliable performance
* Lead negotiations for contracts, pricing, and terms to secure favorable agreements with suppliers
* Conduct thorough market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks within the EMS category
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives in sourcing processes and supplier performance
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
* 5 years of experience in direct material purchase and success in sourcing and category management
* Strong negotiation and contract management skills
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
* Proficiency in procurement tools and systems, Excel, Power BI, and other Microsoft tools
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability and resilience to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a can-do attitude
* Strategic thinking with a focus on long-term goals and a global mindset
