Job Title: Cybersecurity Specialist

Location: Working with a global team.

Summary: A skilled cybersecurity specialist is required to join the security operations center. As a key member, you will be responsible for monitoring and responding to security incidents, developing use cases, and implementing effective detection rules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Use Case Development: Design relevant and effective detection rules based on knowledge of organizational risks and threats.
  • Log Sources: Understand log formats, sources, and parsing for accurate data utilization in use cases.
  • SIEM and Analytics Tools: Implement and monitor use cases using platforms like Securonix, Sentinel, or Splunk.
  • Alert Logic: Define thresholds, logic, and conditions to reduce false positives and improve detection accuracy.
  • Incident Response Needs: Align use cases with actionable intelligence to support incident response workflows.
  • Performance Metrics: Create and optimize KPI/KRI reports to track detection and response performance.
  • Fine-Tuning Methodology: Analyze alert data to refine use cases and adjust logic periodically.
  • Incident Response Lead: Coordinate cross-functional teams to mitigate and eradicate threats during high-impact cyber security incidents.
  • Triage Events: Determine remediation and resolution actions for escalations and incidents.
  • Initiative Support: Provide Security Operations and Incident Response perspective and subject matter expertise for projects and initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of SIEM and analytics tools, including Securonix, Sentinel, or Splunk.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Experience with threat intelligence, incident response, and cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
