Senior Web Scraping Developer

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Web Scraping Developer with expertise in Scrapy and strong skills in web scraping and automation.

  • This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web scraping frameworks using Scrapy.
  • The ideal candidate will also have experience with additional libraries/tools such as BeautifulSoup, Selenium, Playwright, Requests, etc.
Key Responsibilities:

Web Scraping Framework Development

Develop and maintain high-performance web scraping frameworks using Scrapy to efficiently extract data from various websites.

Error Handling and Data Management

Implement robust error handling mechanisms, data parsing, and data storage solutions (JSON, CSV, SQL/NoSQL databases) to ensure reliable data extraction and processing.

Collaboration and Communication

Collaborate with product managers, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure timely delivery of projects.

Staying Up-to-Date

Research and adopt new scraping technologies to improve performance, scalability, and efficiency.

Requirements:

Python Development Experience

Must-have: 2+ years of experience in Python development with Scrapy expertise.

Automation Skills

Proficiency with automation libraries such as Playwright or Selenium.

Databases and Cloud-Based Pipelines

Familiarity with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and cloud-based data pipelines.

Problem-Solving and Agile Environment

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to meet deadlines in an Agile environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

DevOps Tools

Knowledge of DevOps tools such as Docker, GitHub Actions, or CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
