Senior Data Engineer Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, with expertise in designing, building, and maintaining high-performance, scalable data pipelines. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data models, ETL processes, and data warehousing solutions.

The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Designing and implementing data pipelines to support our consulting and analytics solutions
  • Working with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data models, ETL processes, and data warehousing solutions
  • Ensuring the scalability and performance of our data infrastructure
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to identify and prioritize business requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful as a Senior Data Engineer, you will need:

  • 5+ years' experience in Data Analytics / Data Engineering
  • Experience with Data Analytics services like EMR, Glue, Athena, Kinesis, MSK, Elasticsearch, Quicksight, and Redshift
  • Experience with Data Lake setup and Data warehouse on AWS/GCP
  • Experience with big data tools: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Hive, and relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including Postgres and Cassandra
  • Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools: Azkaban, Luigi, Airflow, etc.
  • Experience with stream-processing systems: Storm, Spark-Streaming, and good in object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python, Scala, etc
