Job Requirements:

The Java Backend Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Java-based applications. This includes writing clean, maintainable code, collaborating with stakeholders, and participating in code reviews.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain scalable Java applications.
  • Write clean, maintainable code following best practices.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including business analysts and other developers, to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Design and implement backend services, APIs, and microservices architecture.
  • Perform debugging, testing, and performance tuning for new and existing systems.
  • Ensure high-level security and responsiveness of applications.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvements in development standards and processes.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts.
  • Strong experience with Spring or Spring Boot frameworks.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, SOAP services, and Microservices architecture.
  • Experience with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Oracle.
  • Knowledge of version control systems like Git, Bitbucket.
  • Experience with Maven, Gradle, or other build tools.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and development practices (e.g., Scrum).
  • Knowledge of Cloud services (e.g. AWS, Azure) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with JPA/Hibernate for database interaction.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Estimated Salary: $160,000 - $200,000 per year
