Materials Acquisition Specialist

Procuring essential materials and equipment for projects is a critical task that requires strong skills in vendor evaluation, contract negotiation, and cost-effective procurement. As a key member of our team, the Purchase Engineer plays a vital role in achieving this goal.
Key Responsibilities:- Diligently identify and assess vendors/suppliers for mechanical, electrical, and project-related materials to ensure optimal quality and pricing.
- Analyze and process purchase orders according to project requirements and company policies, guaranteeing timely delivery and compliance.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to ensure cost-effective procurement and maximize value for our organization.
- Closely coordinate with project, design, and site teams to understand technical requirements and ensure seamless execution.
- Maintain an accurate vendor database, evaluate supplier performance, and enforce adherence to quality standards.
- A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in procurement or a related field, coupled with a solid understanding of industry best practices.
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering or a related field, preferably with coursework in procurement, logistics, and supply chain management.
- A deep knowledge of procurement processes in EPC/Projects/Water Industry, including risk assessment, vendor evaluation, and contract management.
- A comprehensive understanding of mechanical and electrical equipment/materials, including specifications, certifications, and regulatory compliance.
