Job Description

As a highly skilled Database Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing robust database solutions to drive business growth and success. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop high-performance database functionalities, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Primary Skills:

  • Proven expertise in MySQL Enterprise Versions Products, including experience with upgrades and patch application.
  • Hands-on migration skills from MySQL to Maria and vice-versa.
  • Experience with configuring and troubleshooting of MySQL Enterprise Monitor (MEM) and Oracle Enterprise Monitor (OEM).
  • Strong understanding of MySQL Enterprise backups and logical backups (mysqldump/mysqlpump).
  • In-depth knowledge of InnoDB Cluster, Master-Slave replication configurations, and troubleshooting, as well as MySQL Enterprise Audit, Encryption, and keyring.
  • Proficiency in open-source HA tools like keepalived/tungstun.
  • Collaborative mindset to work with teams to resolve complex database performance issues.
  • Extensive exposure to public cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) to provide innovative solutions and troubleshoot issues.

Secondary Skills:

  • Additive advantage for knowledge of MariaDB and NoSQL databases.
  • Good understanding of data management, including permissions, recovery, security, and monitoring.
  • Ability to ensure all database programs meet organizational requirements and performance expectations.
  • Skills in user management, space management, and shell scripting.
  • Close coordination and planning with client and project sub-teams.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with foreign clients.
