Job Title: Strategic Cargo Coordinator

Role Overview:

As a Strategic Cargo Coordinator, you will play a vital role in overseeing the end-to-end planning of Over-Dimensional Cargo (ODC) shipments. This involves ensuring seamless coordination between internal teams and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop cargo movement strategies that align with customer requirements and vessel schedules.
  • Lead rate quotation and negotiation processes to ensure competitive pricing while maintaining profitability.
  • Ensure timely allocation of bookings in the EBMS system and with carriers.
  • Collaborate with the planning team to secure space, including feeder service requirements when necessary.

Operational Focus:

  • Supervise coordination with inventory and MNR teams for container allocation, including arranging Empty Container and CSC certificates as per carrier requirements.
  • Optimize container inventory planning to meet customer demands and minimize turnaround time.
  • Ensure customers receive updated vessel schedules based on cargo readiness.

Performance Monitoring:

  • Drive operational excellence by monitoring key performance metrics across planning, execution, and customer service functions.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.
