Job Title: Financial Professional

About the Role

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to expand their responsibilities by demonstrating consistent and reliable performance in maintaining accurate financial records.

This role involves managing the general ledger, handling accounting inquiries, coding vendor invoices, reviewing payroll reports, processing bank transactions, and preparing balance sheet reconciliations.

  • Maintain accurate and timely records of financial transactions in accordance with US GAAP principles.
  • Manage the daily accounting inbox and respond to queries from employees, vendors, and customers in a professional manner.
  • Code and schedule payments for vendor invoices using an intelligent accounts payable platform to ensure efficient financial operations.
  • Review and prepare journal entries based on payroll reports from a payroll provider to maintain up-to-date financial records.
  • Process and record bank transactions, including customer invoicing and payments, to ensure seamless financial operations.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and understand cash timing differences between financial statements to provide accurate financial insights.
  • Analyze general ledger data, payroll, revenue, and other financial data using Excel files to inform business decisions.
  • Support annual tax preparation and GAAP audit processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and ad-hoc financial analysis to provide valuable insights to stakeholders.
Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Commerce or similar field with 2-3 years' experience is required, preferably with public accounting experience. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) is highly preferred.

Required Skills

Knowledge of and experience applying US GAAP principles, generally accepted accounting standards, is mandatory.

Experience in QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, ZOHO, or similar accounting systems is preferred.
