Detailed Overview

We are seeking a seasoned ETL Specialist to join our team of experts proficient in designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines using IBM DataStage. A strong background in SQL skills and experience in cloud platforms such as Apache Airflow are essential.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Data Pipeline Development: Design and implement efficient and scalable data pipelines using IBM DataStage.
  • Query Optimization: Write optimized queries for data extraction, transformation, and validation on the Teradata platform.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with data analysts and business users to implement integration solutions.
  • Data Validation and Reconciliation: Perform manual and automated data validation and reconciliation tasks.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Conduct thorough root cause analysis for data discrepancies and ETL failures.
  • Reusable Components: Develop reusable DataStage job components and adhere to data modeling best practices.
  • ETL Job Monitoring: Monitor ETL jobs and manage dependencies via Job Sequencers or Airflow.
  • Documentation: Document workflows, mappings, and data dictionaries.
  • Cloud Migration Support: Provide support for cloud migration and integration initiatives.
