Cloud Infrastructure Specialist

Our team is looking for a seasoned expert in GCP to drive improvements in availability, scalability, security, and infrastructure automation.
This individual will assess current-state GCP setups and deliver clear improvement plans. They will also advise on infra impacts for new software systems we're developing.
- Evaluate GCP environments, recommend improvements, and implement changes safely via Infrastructure as Code (IaC) where possible.
- Design and modify architectures using GCP services such as VPC, subnets, Cloud NAT, Load Balancing, Cloud DNS, IAM, Service Accounts, and Secrets Manager.
- Build and run workloads on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and/or Compute Engine; containerise where sensible; tune autoscaling.
- 4+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure with 3+ years on GCP.
- Deep knowledge of VPC design, routing/NAT, load balancing, IAM, GKE/containers, and Linux fundamentals.
- Experience introducing controls: org policies, folder/project structure, billing budgets/alerts, and Security Command Center (SCC).
- Proven ability to work independently, communicate clearly, and deliver safely in regulated/enterprise contexts.
- Excellent English oral communication skills.
