Fire Safety Professional

The Fire Safety Officer will oversee and ensure fire safety at the site. They will use assigned apparatus and follow command structure instructions for fire suppression or related emergency services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform equipment set-up upon arrival at a fire scene
  • Dispatch and accompany ERT (Emergency Response Team)
  • Prepare plans and execute fire and life safety evacuation drills and other fire safety-related trainings to team members and occupants available in the premises
  • Complete appropriate rescue firefighting and salvage operations at a fire scene
  • Use established procedures to determine if individuals are trapped within a burning facility and take appropriate actions to secure their rescue
  • Perform lift evacuation and rescue drill periodically
  • Secure affected structures to prevent rekindling
  • Take inventory of all equipment after suppression has been achieved and record all equipment left at the site and incident report
  • Attend and provide information for pre-fire planning studies and maintain an updated knowledge of pre-fire plans
  • Liaise with Government authorities for periodic renewal of NOCs (No Objection Certificates)
  • Report and maintain records of all incidents on site
