Cloud Engineer for Scalable Solutions

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer to join our team at Zeus Learning.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to design, implement, and maintain our microservice-based solutions' infrastructure and deployment pipelines. As a key member of our DevOps team, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and scalable deployment of our cloud-based applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Implement Infrastructure
Design and implement scalable and reliable infrastructure for microservice-based solutions using a wide range of AWS services, including AWS Fargate, CodeCommit, CodeBuild, CodePipeline, SNS, SQS, ECS, Docker, Amazon Cognito, RDS, S3, EC2, Route53, CloudFront, Lambda, VPC, EFS, API Gateway, AWS Certificate Manager, CloudWatch, Load Balancer, and Terraform.
Develop CI/CD PipelinesDevelop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodeCommit, CodeBuild, and CodePipeline to automate application deployment, testing, and monitoring.
Collaborate with Development TeamsCollaborate with development teams to define and implement best practices for building, packaging, and deploying microservices using Docker and container orchestration platforms like Amazon ECS.
Configure Event-Driven ArchitecturesConfigure and manage event-driven architectures using AWS SNS and SQS for efficient communication and processing between microservices.
Ensure Security, Availability, and PerformanceEnsure the infrastructure and applications' security, availability, and performance by implementing appropriate monitoring, alerting, and scaling mechanisms using tools like CloudWatch.
Troubleshoot and Resolve IssuesTroubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues in production and non-production environments.
Evaluate and Improve ProcessesContinuously evaluate and improve existing DevOps processes, tools, and technologies.
Optimize Resource UsageOptimize the usage of AWS services to reduce costs without compromising performance and scalability.
Analyze Resource AllocationReview and analyze the allocation of resources to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
Collaborate with Finance and Operations TeamsCollaborate with finance and operations teams to develop strategies for cost optimization and provide recommendations based on usage patterns and business requirements.
Stay Up-to-Date with Industry TrendsStay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in the DevOps and cloud space.
Requirements- Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
ExperienceProven experience as a DevOps Engineer working on microservice-based solutions.
AWS ServicesStrong proficiency with AWS services, including AWS Fargate, CodeCommit, CodeBuild, CodePipeline, SNS, SQS, ECS, Docker, Amazon Cognito, RDS, S3, EC2, Route53, CloudFront, Lambda, VPC, EFS, API Gateway, AWS Certificate Manager, CloudWatch, Load Balancer, and Terraform.
Containerization TechnologiesIn-depth understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms like Amazon ECS.
CI/CD PipelinesExperience with building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodeCommit, CodeBuild, CodePipeline, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar tools.
Scripting and Automation SkillsSolid scripting and automation skills with programming languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
IaC ConceptsProficiency in infrastructure-as-code (IaC) concepts and tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
Monitoring and Log Management ToolsKnowledge of monitoring and log management tools like CloudWatch.
Configuration Management ToolsFamiliarity with configuration management tools like Ansible.
Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting AbilitiesStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Communication and Collaboration SkillsExcellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
AWS CertificationsAWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus.
Salary and BenefitsThe estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
