At our sleep specialist office, we have an exciting opportunity for a Medical Insurance Verification and Prior Authorization Specialist to join our high-volume team.

  • Verify insurance benefits and eligibility for sleep studies, DME, and related procedures efficiently and accurately.
  • Obtain prior authorizations in a timely manner while working with various insurance plans including HMO and PPO.
  • Document and track authorizations in EMR systems and Excel, providing clear and professional communication with patients and insurance companies.
  • Support front office and billing teams when needed, handling a high call volume with excellent phone etiquette and attention to detail.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in medical insurance verification and prior authorization is required.
  • Strong knowledge of co-pays, deductibles, co-insurance, and insurance plan types is essential.
  • Familiarity with sleep studies and DME services is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary, along with proficiency in EMR systems and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
