Job Overview

Responsibilities:

  • Researching current affairs on a local, national, and international level.
  • Meeting with reporters, news directors, and fellow news anchors to stay briefed on routine news.
  • Collaborating with news directors to select stories for broadcast, considering audience preferences.
  • Organizing breaking news in an engaging and informative way.
  • Revising scripts and preparing them for live delivery.
  • Conducting interviews with guests and news correspondents.
  • Introducing news correspondents and asking relevant questions.
  • Adhering to the moral code of the journalistic profession.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or a relevant field.
  • Proven experience as a Professional News Anchor or a similar role in the Media Department.
  • Ability to understand news programs processes.
  • Ability to analyze and broadcast news coverage for radio and television stations as needed.
  • Extensive knowledge of national and international affairs, particularly in terms of culture, legislation, economy, and politics.
  • Exceptional social media presence.
  • Good understanding of the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
  • Great interpersonal skills.
