You'll be responsible for analyzing and managing complex tariff models, ensuring that updates are accurately tested, validated, and released to production.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience in data modeling, and a background in managing tariff-related projects.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in sprint planning and other Agile ceremonies (daily standups, retrospectives, etc.).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure sprint goals are met, ensuring that committed tasks are delivered on time.
  • Assist in defining and prioritizing tasks related to tariff analysis and model updates in the sprint backlog.
  • Validate and test all changes to tariff models using established regression and calibration processes.
  • Investigate any calibration failures, analyze issues, and work towards resolving them in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that updated models meet business requirements and pass the necessary validation before release.
  • FOLLOW THE CHANGE MANAGEMENT PROCESS TO RELEASE UPDATED MODELS TO PRODUCTION, ENSURING ALL STEPS ARE COMPLETED ACCORDING TO AUDIT REQUIREMENTS.
  • Document changes in models thoroughly, and facilitate approvals from relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with governance and auditing standards when deploying updated models.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives related to the rate engine, modeling processes, and sprint planning.
  • Suggest and implement improvements to increase efficiency and streamline tariff analysis and modeling processes.
  • Provide recommendations for tools or methods that can enhance team productivity and the quality of deliverables.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation on modeling requirements for clients, ensuring clear and concise communication of model changes and updates.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs and ensure that models are updated and aligned with client specifications.
  • Ensure that all documentation meets internal and client standards for clarity, completeness, and accuracy.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, developers, and business teams, to ensure the successful execution of projects.
  • Maintain clear and open communication with stakeholders to provide status updates and address any concerns related to the tariff modeling process.
  • Participate in meetings and discussions to provide input on strategic decisions related to tariff analysis.
  • Understand client requirements and collaborate with internal teams to translate these needs into effective tariff models.
  • Assist clients in understanding and interpreting the models and provide support in analyzing data as necessary.
  • Required Skills and Qualifications:
    • 6-8 years of industry experience in data analysis or tariff modeling, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
    • Strong background in analyzing complex data relationships and transforming them into actionable data models.
    • Bachelor's degree in an analytical field such as Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related discipline.
    • Technical Skills:
      • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and pivot tables.
      • Strong understanding of relational database concepts and familiarity with SQL for querying databases.
      • Ability to manipulate large data sets, create reports, and analyze complex data relationships.
      • Excellent analytical and logical thinking skills with the ability to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data.
      • Proven ability to innovate, solve problems, and propose actionable solutions based on data analysis.
      • Experience working with large-scale data sets and creating data models to support business objectives.
      • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex data in an understandable way.
      • Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams, managing relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
