We are seeking a skilled Data Protection Specialist to safeguard sensitive information and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deploy, configure, and manage data loss prevention solutions such as Forcepoint.
  • Design and implement data protection policies for email, endpoints, cloud storage, and web traffic.
  • Integrate data loss prevention with security information and event management (SIEM), cloud access security broker (CASB), and other security tools for centralized monitoring.
  • Conduct proof-of-concept testing for new data loss prevention features and updates.
  • Collaborate with IT teams and business units to align data protection configurations with organizational security policies.
Policy Tuning & Optimization
  • Regularly review and fine-tune data protection policies to reduce false positives and negatives.
  • Conduct data classification and discovery scans to identify sensitive information.
  • Establish role-based access controls (RBAC) to manage data protection policy enforcement.
  • Implement custom content detection rules for industry-specific sensitive data.
Incident Response & Monitoring
  • Investigate data loss prevention alerts and incidents, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
  • Escalate high-risk incidents to the Security Operations Center (SOC) and Incident Response (IR) teams.
  • Maintain incident response playbooks and coordinate mitigation strategies for data leaks.
  • Generate data loss prevention reports and dashboards to track policy violations and incident trends.
Data Classification and Information Rights Management
  • Create and manage classification labels and content policies.
  • Set permissions for users based on organizational requirements.
  • Activate or deactivate file protection as needed.
  • Transfer ownership or revoke access to files.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with data loss prevention tools, a strong understanding of data classification, encryption, and regulatory compliance frameworks, expertise in network security, endpoint security, and cloud security, and experience in SIEM integration, CASB solutions, and data discovery tools.

Technical skills preferred include certifications such as Certified Forcepoint DLP System Engineer, Certified Forcepoint DLP Administrator, Symantec Data Loss Prevention 15.5 Technical Specialist, Trend Micro Certified Professional, and McAfee Certified Product Specialist - McAfee Data Loss Prevention.
