Lead Food Regulatory Affairs Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to drive policy initiatives, engage with industry stakeholders, generate revenue, and organize impactful initiatives in the Food Regulatory Affairs domain.

Job Overview:

As a Lead Food Regulatory Affairs Expert, you will be responsible for analyzing food regulations, trade regulations, and their impact on food businesses. You will also engage with government bodies, liaise with food business stakeholders, plan and execute events, and prepare representations for organizing sector-specific programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive policy initiatives and improve regulatory compliance.
  • Engage with government departments, industry stakeholders, and other organizations to build relationships and generate revenue.
  • Plan and execute events such as conferences, industry roundtables, policy dialogues, and task force meetings.
  • Prepare high-quality representations for organizing sector-specific programs.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree (B.Sc./B.Tech.) or Master's degree (M.Sc./M.Tech.) in a relevant field, preferably food technology.
  • 7-15 years of work experience in a similar field, with prior experience in food regulatory affairs, policy, advocacy, program organization, and industry & government connections preferred.

Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of Indian food regulations and policy, advocacy, trade, etc.
  • Excellent research, report-writing, and policy analysis skills.
  • Ability to organize industry events, working groups, outreach programs, and delegations.
  • Strong communication, networking, and relationship-building skills.
  • Knowledge of codex and other global food regulations.
